NRA[edit]

I suggest you read Wikipedia:Hatnote. A hatnote is supposed to be short and to the point. Putting line breaks and a bunch of axe grinding text is obviously not appropriate for a hat note. You were reverted by several others yesterday, so I expect your changes will not remain for long. I suggest finding some other way to make your point. You've also messed up the UK article, I suggest you read the Manual of Style and make a little less use of the bold function. --Dual Freq (talk) 00:31, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BramblesBear[edit]

There is no intention to "axe grind", however, the point of a wiki is to be as informative as possible. The changes I applied contain important information for anyone researching the National Rifle Association (of whatever country). The difficulty arises because most people won't be aware that there is more than one NRA. So, as the purpose of a "hatnote" is to clarify what is being looked at, I must question whether the person(s) deleting my contributions are legitimately complaining (in which case I apologise) or is this an attempt at Censoring and/or inappropriate Nationalism? Personally, I am a strong supporter of the NRAs of both the USA and the UK, and would never wish to disrespect their entries. May I suggest that the person calling himself ==NRA== tells me/us why he feels that I've "messed up the UK article", as none of the original meaning is lost, and the item is a Stub requesting additional content? I am totally happy to agree any changes here (in this Talk) before posting any further material -- Indeed, please feel free to revert both the USA and UK Wiki entries to their original states and we can take it from there. But, also be aware that simply deleting 'uncomfortable' content is both Censorship and Vandalism.
