Snape Edits

[edit]

When someone reverts your edits, calling them too long, its important to discuss that revert, rather than changing it back without discussion - that is what the Discussion Page is for. I think you adding non-crucial info to the article, but if you disagree, please use the discussion page to talk about it. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 05:16, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are now at three reverts. I have tried to ask you to discuss your edits, and for whatever reason, you choose to ignore the matter. I am changing it back,. If you revert again, I will report your for a 3RR violation. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 05:21, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are being unreasonable. Your edits are highly unbalanced and do not reflect canon. See my posts on the discussion page. If you don't stop, I will report YOU. Brensgrrl

With respect, my edits do not have to reflect canon; they have to reflect WP policy. If that canon can be cited through reliable (read: non-fan) sources, then canon and policy work together. If they do not, then WP policy is going to win within Wikipedia every single time.
As well, your characterization of my edits as unreasonable is unfounded. When you started reverting, i asked you to discuss your edits on the Discussion page for the article. You ignored me, not once but twice. That tells me that you are the one being unreasonable. A reasonable person doesn't mind discussing their edit, and welcomes ideas on how to improve them. You didn't do that, and even engaged in edit-warring over your edit. In what was is that reasonable?
Lastly, I've read the Discussion page (thanks for finally bringing your concerns to the page, btw), and other editors addressed your concerns adequately. I think this resolves the matter. -Arcayne (cast a spell) 18:12, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
