Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Drat (Talk) 10:40, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a mirror or a repository of links, images, or media files: "On articles about topics with many fansites, including a link to one major fansite may be appropriate, marking the link as such." Please do not restore the entire fan sites section wholesale. Choosing the most notable of those site may be appropriate. However, links multiple unofficial fan sites are not allowed. Wikipedia doesn't strive to be a web diectory. — TKD::Talk 08:35, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One other thing to keep in mind, too, is that Wikipedia tries to cateer to the general-interest reader to the extent possible for the topic at hand, so including a number of fan sites runs a bit counter to that purpose. Is there a single directory of fan site links that would be possible to link to, perhaps? — TKD::Talk 11:27, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
