Bryce Martin Classic Lit. Jason and the Argonauts: movie and book comparison
Many thing about the movie and the book were different and most of the changes that the director made were to the main plot and the events that took place. Ill start from the beginning,in the movie Jason's father is killed by his brother and Jason is nearly killed as well but is saved by his fathers guard. the next extreme difference is the fact that everyone Jason rounds up to sail with him is not a hero in any way( other than Hercules.) Everything that took place on the water was completely different than the book mainly because it didn't happen. There was a mysterious fog that no one could see through not even there seer they had on board which lead them into a giant who was sleeping in the water. When they reached the island with Hypsipple's island they were going to kill the men instead of keeping them around. towards the end of the movie when Jason must get around the dragon to get the golden fleece he tricks it into jumping off the cliff.
