I would also like to add, that if you're going to have a ToS, you should require people to read it before creating an account. I saw no link to any form of ToS. Oh, and in case you don't know...a ToS is a "Terms of Service". You shouldn't be able to block people for breaking the rules, without stating what the rules were. Thank you.
ALSO, not only was I not asking to change my username, but it's not possible to change it. Thank you.
- Of course you can't change it. You need to be unblocked to do so. Perhaps you can try proposing an username that will conform to our username policy? —210physicq (c) 01:02, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Username. Love it. Five stars!Proudlyhumble07 08:41, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Lesse... "The choice of username might be based on your real name or a familiar Internet nickname," I've used this username on countless other sites. It's also the address for a myspace account that I have. People recognize me as "the crazy girl who was mind raped by bunnies." I've never encountered problems with this username before, and I don't honestly see what the problem is. It's a harmless name that makes absolutely no sense, and there really shouldn't be a problem with it.
"Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are misleading, harassing, or offensive " the only thing out of that is that it could possibly be offensive. I'll get into what Wikipedia counts as offensive in a moment.
"In borderline cases, you will be asked to choose a new username" I'm going to assume that this is a border line case. Or something. But I can't exactly change my username if you won't unblock me, now can I?
And now...for what Wikipedia considers to be offensive..
Offensive usernames include those that refer or allude to-
"The names of religions or religious figures; in addition, usernames that invoke the name of a religious figure or religion are prohibited should they be distasteful, provoke or promote intolerance, are disrespectful of the religion, or promote the ideology that one religion is superior to others. Usernames that are clearly expressions of faith are discouraged, however considered allowed unless disruptive. Should a username not be clear as to the motive, it may be reviewed. "
It doesn't have anything religious in it. Not last I checked anyways.
"Performing or endorsing violent real-world actions"
It's not doing this either. Where in the real world will you see someone having their mind raped by bunnies? I doubt a bunny would do such a thing, AND it's theoretically impossible to rape somebody's mind.
"Promotion of a controversial or potentially inflammatory point of view"
This one, could possibly be the problem. However, it's not a point of view.
"Racism, sexism, or sexual orientation"
There's none of this in my username. I, for one, frown on racism and sexism, and I prefer to keep my sexual orientation to myself.
"Illnesses, disabilities, or medical or psychological conditions" Nope, still none here.
"Reproductive or excretory body functions, including genitalia and sexual slang"
Sexual slang, possibly. But not really.
"Slurs, profanity and obscenities" Maybe an obscenity? But personally..I can't see anything wrong with this username. I've never had anyone have a problem with it before. I highly doubt there's anything SERIOUSLY wrong with my username, and if you can point it out, and I can't disprove you, then I will gladly change it. But otherwise, I'd appriciate being unblocked.
And like I said, even if I did see a reason to change it, there's really nothing I can do about it while I AM blocked.
