Big Blue didn't get canceled
Butler you can't assume that Big Blue is over. Gyimah Gariba didn't say Big Blue got canceled so we got to add season 2 when it comes out. 72.69.238.8 (talk) 21:20, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
- I didn't say it was canceled. What I said was that per the infobox documentation, if there have been no new episodes in a year, then
|last_aired=
can be set to the date of the last episode. This is so we don't have "present" in there forever. You can add season 2 -- when it comes out. ButlerBlog (talk) 21:38, 14 October 2023 (UTC)- Ok fine 72.69.238.8 (talk) 12:21, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
A new error is now tracked in Category:Pages using infobox television with nonstandard dates
Hey, Category:Pages using infobox television with nonstandard dates is now tracking an additional new error. If this is an issue with your bot and you prefer I create a new category for this, let me know. Gonnym (talk) 14:43, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. I actually was just thinking about that this morning as I saw that you were implementing the change to the infobox. My initial thought was that I would be updating the bot task to account for the change anyway, since it's intended to be useful ongoing maintenance. For now, the bot would just skip over most (all?) of the new entries because the data doesn't fit any of its existing patterns. The only issue would be that until the new entries are cleared, it will have to run through them all to find any that get added that do fit existing patterns. But with the current number in there, that's not a big deal. And if I update the bot's pattern recognition to account for date ranges, this will likely give it enough data to be able to finish up the trial edits it needs for approval.
