Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, CISRI LEGAL DEPARTMENT, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!
Dear user, welcome to wikipedia and I appreciate you use your knowledge so we can get wikipedia as correct as it can be. I am a wikipedia volunteer (like most of our users) and regularly edit it. I realize there may be problems with this article as the leadership-statements have been changed over time. I'd like to clear up the situation and ask you to describe what you think is happening and what is/was wrong in the article. You can do so, by editing this page (your talk page (you can always come back there by pressint "talk" in your top left menu), and appending an answer).

There is also a concern: at wikipedia you can communicate in 2 ways: legally by taking formal action against the site owners OR by contributing to the articles. The combination therefore is not possible. Your user name suggests to me that you want to take the "legal road", but that means you have to stop editing here. I do suggest however, that we try to solve this through collaborative editing, which means: no legal speak (no: a judge has said that .. is not allowed; and, in the somewhat longer run, you'll have to change your user name), but factual and referenced facts...

As said, I'd like to resolve this, and welcome you to explain your background and position a bit; provided with references... L.tak (talk) 14:13, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for making legal threats or taking legal action. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved. - Acroterion (talk) 14:40, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, your username is inappropriate: user accounts may represent only individuals, not organizations. Users may not use the threat of legal action or prosecution to intimidate other editors. If there is a concern about the content of an article, it is always more appropriate to calmly discuss the issue so that we may get the article right, rather than denouncing other Wikipedia participants to the police for writing in an online encyclopedia. Please review the good advice given by other editors above. Acroterion (talk) 14:43, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've mentioned this account's actions at the administrator's noticeboard/incidents. Acroterion (talk) 14:50, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will probably not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
