I can't really speak to your specific situation as you seem to be using a different account now so I don't know which edit I reverted was you, but I can give you general advice on deletion in Wikipedia. How you delete something depends on what it is you want deleted; if it's just a section you can do so at any time with an informative edit summary. Of course, if deletion of the section is controversial then someone will likely revert you; you'd be well advised to discuss such things on the talk page ahead of time. Deletion of entire articles is another thing entirely. See Wikipedia:Deletion Policy for details, but basically you have three options: Speedy deletion for obviously bad articles in specific circumstances, proposed deletion for articles whose deletion is likely to be uncontroversial, and Articles for Deletion for everything else. Simply blanking the page is going to be treated as vandalism and reverted in all cases. As I said, I don't know who you are so I can't help you in your specific circumstance; if you could tell me what account or IP you were editing under when I reverted you I could be of more assistance.--Dycedarg ж 23:14, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
