Your editing activity and your username suggest you may be operating more than one account. Operating multiple accounts is generally discouraged unless both accounts are "linked" to each other or there is a good reason not to do so. In particular, editing the same article with multiple accounts can confuse editors who wonder "is this 1 person or 2?" or who assume incorrectly that it's 2 people. See Wikipedia:Sock puppetry#Legitimate uses of alternate accounts and Wikipedia:Sock puppetry#Alternate account notification for information on how to do this.

If you want to rename an existing account, read Wikipedia:Changing username for instructions on how to do it. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 01:01, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The Sindacco crime family requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Declined, does not qualify for WP:A7 deletion. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 03:22, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

BR tags

[edit]

<BR /> tags are discouraged in most places, as a pair of returns usually accomplishes the same goal. Sometimes they are needed in tables. Look at existing articles to see how they get the job done. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 13:22, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The Russian Mafia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Technically you aren't supposed to remove speedy-deletion tags from articles you create. Technically I should have restored it. However, I've seen your work and I believe you will add content in the next day or so making it WP:POINTY and therefore wrong for me to re-add the tag. Consider adding {{underconstruction}} to the top of new pages for the first day or so or until you add significant content. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 22:49, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but no thanks

[edit]

Frankly, the 100% in-universe tone and excessive plot details in the articles you've written make them completely unsalvagable from an encyclopedic perspective: Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of plot information. I've since redirected The Sindacco crime family, The Forelli crime family, and The Leone crime family to appropriate sections in List of gangs in the Grand Theft Auto series, and The Russian Mafia to the real-life Russian Mafia. If you want your work saved to a more appropriate Wiki, such as the GTA Wiki, drop me a line on User talk:Nifboy and I can help you out with that.
