Notability of Benjamin Herrold
[edit]A tag has been placed on Benjamin Herrold requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:57, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

- Thank you. I was just speaking to the other account on this same matter. If you are here to edit in good faith, I am more than willing to help as are all the other users here. It was just becoming a "tit for tat" and I am very glad you took a moment to answer. My suggestions are to review WP:BAND and WP:NOT to get a better idea of what needs to go into an article about musicians. I'll go you one better: I'll withdraw my objections and give you time to come up with some verifiable third-party sources of info on these two musicians. I apologize for the mix-up and I greatly appreciate your having contacted me. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:46, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
I see that now. I've withdrawn my objections and added a template that will alert others that you're workng on the articles. It is a tremendous relief to learn that this was a misunderstanding and that you're here to contribute in a meaningful manner. We need all the help we can get and I would like to welcome you to the project and put this rough start behind us. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:54, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- You got it. I'm confident that won't be necessary and I sincerely hope that I haven't scared you off. The inability to communicate in real time often creates problems like this and I hope you'll decide to stay. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:55, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
