About accusations of vandalism[edit]

I am not sure of this is the right place to post this issue, but it is very clear to me that I have just been falseley accused of vandalizing a page. The information that I entered into the Chuck Yeager page was completeley true, as I attended the festival in Yeager's Honor recently. I am not the same user as Grante, and am not responsible for any vandalism that may have been made on their behalf, but I did make the same entry earlier today on their username, having borrowed it from that user. I have never made any other contributions to any other page in Wikipedia in my lifetime, besides this one, which i felt needed to be made. I feel it is nessicary to spread awareness regarding peoples' public honoring of Yeager, as not many are aware. This accusation and deletion of completely true information has caused me to become disgusted with the operation of wikipedia and it is clear to me that all moderators are opinionated, which is extremeley harmful to the credibility of a supposedly "balanced" reference page. If there is another place (Like a higher moderator) that I should take this issure then please let me know. Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Charlie622 (talkcontribs) 21:59, 26 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I'm sorry if I made an erroneous accusation but that other user made a few minor vandalisms and then added this event with a name that to me sounds like nonsense. I take that, combined with Yeager not being from Oklahoma, and the fact that I can find nothng about this event online, and then I see it being re-added by a brand new account with a similar username. So it looks pretty suspicious. If I am mistaken, you have my apology, but do realize that it sounds like a hoax. Wikipedia has a policy on attributability and questionable claims need to be backed by a reliable source. Can you provide a reference to show this event actually exists? Perhaps your local newspaper has mentioned it? —dgiestc 22:05, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
