Blocked[edit]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because the username, Chefrakeshsethi, matches the name of a well-known, living person.

If you are the person represented by this username, please note that the practice of blocking such usernames is to protect you from being impersonated, not to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. You may choose to edit under a new username (see information below), but keep in mind that you are welcome to continue to edit under this username. If you choose to do so, we ask the following:

  1. Please be willing and able to prove your identity to Wikipedia.
  2. Please send an e-mail to info-en@wikimedia.org. Be aware that the volunteer response team that handles e-mail is indeed operated entirely by volunteers, and the reply may not be immediate.

If you are not the person represented by this username, you are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Your userpage[edit]

The content at your userpage has been deleted because it was a copyright violation from your website. It was also promotional and violated WP:FAKEARTICLE.
However, the subject may be notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Please read WP:42, Wikipedia:Your first article, and if you are related to the subject, Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide also. Then, you may recreate the draft article about your organization by preparing it via Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Write neutrally, in your own words, based on the sources, with no copy pasting from the sources.

Here are some important things to read about:

OTRS ticket pending[edit]

Note that this person has now submitted a ticket through the OTRS system (VRTS ticket # 2015120910009461) asking for this account to be unblocked. I am pursuing the matter with him and will update here accordingly. KDS4444Talk 05:02, 18 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User:Anna_Frodesiak: I have now had an interaction via Skype with this person, fully dressed in his chef uniform, and am convinced that he is very much the person he claims to be. Am formally requesting that the account be unblocked. Please ping me if you have any concerns. Otherwise, please know that he is looking forward to having the account unblocked and being able to edit Wikipedia under this account name. Thank you, Anna! Hi KDS4444, and chef. I have received information that the OTRS has a problem: I have been told that the email address domain is invalid and that an OTRS agent sent a follow-up email on December 22nd and no reply has yet come back. The OTRS people need a specific, working email address. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:20, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Let me see what I can figure out. Will let you know. KDS4444[[User talk:KDS4444|Talk] 05:56, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I have just sent this individual an email through OTRS at what appeared to be a working email address just a few days ago. Have generated a new ticket number as a result: VRTS ticket # 2015122710005135.
User:Anna_Frodesiak: I have now sent an email message to and received a response from this individual at a working email address that corresponds to this account. Mr. Sethi would very much like to have his user account returned to working status (see VRTS ticket # 2015122710005135). Please let me know what other steps he must take in order to do this. Thank you. KDS4444Talk 04:22, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocked[edit]

The OTRS is confirmed. You are now unblocked. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you ever need anything, please ask. Happy editing :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:32, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yay! I am excited to be letting him know! Thanks for your help, and for insisting on thorough verification— I wouldn't have it any other way. KDS4444Talk 16:26, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Happy to help. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:09, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Chefrakeshsethi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. | Uncle Milty | talk | 10:19, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
