Hails from a reputed freedom fighter family of Gangeya village in Muzzafarpur, Bihar, Kranti Prakash actively participated in J P Movement 1974-1977)at the age of 13-14. During that emergency period he was put behind the bar in a child remand home for 10 months.

After emergency, he joined YUVA JANTA and became a member of its national Committee. Since then he is an active witness of all major political events of the country.

A great advocate of socialism, Kranti Prakash started JAIVIK KHETI ABHIYAN to promote and develop the practices of organic farming in North Bihar. He organised several workshops, training camps and launched awareness campaigns to promote organic farming in agriculture community of Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Sitamardhi, Madhubani and Samastipur district of North Bihar. As an active member of International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement (IFOAM), Kranti Prakash attended several international conferences on behalf of JAIVIK KHETI ABHIYAN.

Works - Kranti Prakash co-authored two books on organic farming in India. The Root (English), Bharat Me Jaivik Kheti (Hindi), Publishing a Bi- monthly magazine Paryavaran aur Kheti in Hindi on organic farming. Contributed many articles on various social and political issues published in leading vernacular Newspapers of India.
