That's not good!

[edit]

If your old account was hacked into, you have several things that you can do. First, if you registered an e-mail address with that account, you can get the password sent to you if someone has changed it. Unfortunately, there is no way to prove at this time that you are the same user. There has been no activity on that account since October, so I would say that there is no problem. I will leave a notice on that page saying "This user may have left Wikipedia", and you can start again with your new account. If you wish to continue this further, just leave me another message on my talk page, and we can try to work something out. ----HAL2008TK CT 16:31, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if you can really do anything... I've been working on a way to confirm that you are the same user, e-mail, but nothing really works. The only sure-fire way to confirm your identity would be if you had an SHA encryption identifier on your userpage, which you didn't... and we can't use Checkuser, because they won't take your case. If there is anyway to confirm that you are the same user, please give me an idea, because otherwise, there isn't a way. And we cannot blank the page, as that is against the rules unless we know 100% that you are the same user. (not that I don't believe you or anything... but you know how it is, people can masquerade as anyone on the internet) Anyway, I've started asking other people to help out in the case, hopefully we'll come up with something in the next few days, if not, we'll take it to the administrator's noticeboard, and they can review your case. --HAL2008TK CT 10:44, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Hal asked me to take a look at this case for you. If you want that userpage deleted, you'll need to prove that it's yours, and the easiest way to do this is enable email on it. But you can't do this because the password changed (right?). You may wish to read this as well. But I think the best solution is to just leave the account (since it hasn't edited for almost a year) and ignore it, unless something else happens. Giggy UCP 01:11, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I can help you. Have you done what I suggested in the above message? Giggy UCP 08:24, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then blank the userpage yourself. Giggy UCP 23:04, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
