Distinguished Clubs of the World[edit source]

Association founded in 1988 by its founder Bob Hedges from Portland, Oregon.

The Purpose of the Association is to provide a forum which furthers professionalism and education for club secretaries and general managers of traditional city clubs. In order to achieve its purpose, the Association shall organize an annual meeting in a member club at which there will be formal educational sessions and visits to compatible clubs. The Association shall also provide a forum for the continuous exchange of information on current trends and global issues.

Membership:

Membership is by invitation from an agreed and approved list of clubs worldwide, which are considered by the Association to meet its criteria of being:

· Established over 100 years.

· A bona fide private members’ club.

· Recognized by the Association as being a renowned club offering superior standards of facilities, food and service.
