A tag has been placed on Cole Systems Associates, Inc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 17:27, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Cole Systems Associates, Inc. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 17:46, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

June 2009[edit]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Cole Systems Associates, Inc, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. ttonyb1 (talk) 17:57, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Promotion and COI[edit]

I have deleted the article on Cole Systems as it did not meet some of our guidelines, specifically guidelines against obvious advertising. The way the article was written was promotional in tone, and would have required substantial revamping to become remotely encyclopedic, and was not backed up with reliable sources that affirmed the company met our notability guidelines for articles.

In addition, it is obvious that there are several issues surrounding conflict of interest that you should consider before creating an article on the company again; you state that you are the director of marketing and business development - generally, it's far better to let someone else create an article on a topic you are closely involved with, as that gives a greater indication that notability can be met than someone from the company creating the article. You also have an issue with the username you have chosen; it is generally considered against our username policy for people to use a name affiliated with a company of some sort. I suggest that if you wish to continue editing Wikipedia you look into changing your username to something not affiliated with the company, study our guidelines on notability and sourcing, and then consider whether an article on Cole Systems can be written to meet the requirements.
