A Wikipedia article needs to be written from a neutral point of view, and must not express any opinion or promote anything. In the article Sustainability in Anglesey you repeatedly used language such as "important", "very relevant", "fortunately", "holistically improved", "stunning historical architecture" which are value judgements, and as such do not belong in a Wikipedia article. If occasional use of such words had been the only problem, it might not have been difficult to replace them with something more neutral, but the problem went further than that: the whole article gave the impression of having been written to promote and publicise a particular view of what the situation in Anglesey is, and to promote as beneficial and noble certain actions which have been taken or are being taken. Indeed, it might not have been much different had it been written by someone employed by Anglesey County Council for PR purposes. Such promotional writing is contrary to Wikipedia policy, and so the article has been deleted.

Even if the article had been written in a neutral way, it might not have been suitable. It read much more like a personal analysis of the relevant issues by a particular writer than like the kind of objective impersonal reporting that Wikipedia requires. Also, the specific topic may not have sufficient notability to justify a stand alone article on that topic, as opposed to a brief mention in an article on a broader topic. My advice to new editors is that it is best to start by making small improvements to existing articles, rather than creating new articles. That way any mistakes you make will be small ones, and you won't have the discouraging experience of repeatedly seeing hours of work deleted. Gradually, you will get to learn how Wikipedia works, and after a while you will know enough about what is acceptable to be able to write whole new articles without fear that they will be deleted. Over the years I have found that editors who start by making small changes to existing articles and work up from there have a far better chance of having a successful time here than those who jump right into creating new articles from the start.

One more small point. What proportion of people reading the article would you expect to know what "eudaemonic" means? The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:23, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Sustainability in Anglesey for deletion
