Chess bishop and rook
[edit]Hi Crimsonslide. The confusion of the chess rook with elephant is fairly common, but the bishop was originally an elephant and the rook a chariot. For example, English chess master Henry Bird confused the rook with the elephant in his writing. There was some discussion of this 7 years ago at Talk:History of chess#bishop and rook.
