Rail transport in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

[edit]

Dear,

Your removal of the dead links in our article Rail transport in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was much too drastic. At least in my humble opinion. If something does not work as expected, it is a waste to simply throw it away. Better is to find a way to get it back to work. Since I have no idea how to effect such a restoration myself, I restored the dead links, and attached alert flags; in the hopes that someone more proficient take up the alert and find improvement.

If you will excuse me, I found your action reminiscent of the biblical "if your hand leads you into sin, cut it off" :) That may be okay for people searching heaven, but round here we are only creating an humble encyclopedia, to the best of our various abilities ;)

Wishing you all the best from - at this time - subtropical Portugal :) Jan olieslagers (talk) 21:34, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
yeah, you're right. I didn't know what to do with these links and I thought it would be misleading/useless to leave them on the Wikipedia page. But Wikipedia is a big community, so there'll certainly be someone who'll know how to restore these links :)
Best wishes from rainy Germany :) Cruzeiro Salve (talk) 12:06, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
