PowToon Founded in January of 2012 , PowToon released a beta version of the software later in August of the same year. The software now is online based and is free but still offers a premium version with extra features. The program allows users to create a animated presentation and or video using pre-made objects and themes. PowToon operates on a Apache flex engine and generated XML files that can be exported to YouTube or downloaded as an MP4 file. Becoming popular across the world wide web for creating presentations that will catch the users attention and help to get ideas across in a visual manner, PowToon has revolutionized whiteboard animation.
