Information icon Hello, I'm 1AmNobody24. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Dakota language have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. When you removed the links you removed the sections entirely instead. I understand now the process in referencing links but there was pertinent information vital to the revitalization of my people's language, such as all the programming we have and if you look at the history of the page you will see it was largely blank without any real input from Dakota people. I didn't go back on what changes you made but I feel like you did not consider the value of the information that was presented, links or not. Dakhod'ia (talk) 17:56, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thats's not how Wikipedia works. Everything needs to be verifiable through a reliable source and added following the Manual of Style. Nobody (talk) 18:05, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, i'll do better from here on out and study up first before I add anything like that. Thanks for the help - give a look to the talk page for Lakota Language and see the conflict of interest stuff that's mentioned there. I'm trying to make sure not to end up with a one sided view of materials or organizations, as was the case with that one user that was banned named Thiyopa. I am a Dakota language specialist and I am just hoping to make sure the Dakota Language page is as helpful and informational as possible; now while making sure everything is sourced properly.
