Your edit to Talk:Mitzvah

[edit]

Hi! Please try and limit the talk pages to discussion about the content of the article. You may have intended to say you think the article should include some specific mitzvos, which is fine, We sometimes get folks from other religions who try to come in and prosyletize on article talk pages, so we have to be fair and warn everyone not to do it. Please see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines for more information. Best, --Shirahadasha 01:38, 3 September 2007 (UTC) Alright! Thanks for the advice man! Dannygreen 18:40, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Given the large number of mitzvot and the many points of view concerning the relative importance of the several commandments, I believe pulling out two favorites for display at the top of the article is not very encyclopedic, and may contravene neutral point of view and/or original research guidelines. If you are prepared to cite a source for the claim that these mitzvot are especially important, it may be appropriate to document that claim in the article. But I believe the section as currently written takes away from the flow and tone of the article. Any other opinions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scbomber (talkcontribs) 21:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well my booba (who was really frum) always said keeping shobbos and eating kosher was important.

Absolutely! But this being the Wikipedia we need our sources to be more widely distributed. Please don't be discouraged from contributing, but the more you read the Manual of Style, the more likely it will be that you advance the work in a lasting way!
