The fact that the idea was derived by a Belgian catholic priest is well known, and already mentioned in the article. Whether or not it is ironic is subject to interpretation. Historically, the Catholic church has readily accepted the Big Bang. –Joke 19:47, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
