September 2015

Hello, I'm Walter Görlitz. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Beat the System (band), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I don't think you understand what a reliable source is. When you add a link to your press release and then show multiple other links to the exact same press release, it still fails the criteria. Also, the article is about the band, not the producer. Fluffing the propducer's credits doesn't help at all. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:15, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Beat the System (band), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. So the term "world renown" is not only a WP:PEACOK term, it's not necessary. Wikipedia editors and readers judge the notability of a subject on whether they do or don't have an article. If they do, link to it and leave it alone. Don't fluff it up. If the engineer doesn't have an article, they're likely not well known. And again, the article is about the band not the people they hire to work for them. And for the record, stop linking to sources that are picking up and redistributing your press releases. Read WP:RS and you'll see why. If I see another self-promotional edit from you, I will take the issue to the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard. Read that as protection of the Wikipedia project, not a threat to stop you from making constructive, informed edits. Wikipedia is happy to have informed individuals providing valuable sources to the project, but promoting a band, which is what it appears you're doing, is not in keeping with the spirit of Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Beat the System (band), as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content.
