Talk Pages

[edit]

I'd ask you to remember that Wikipedia is not a soapbox. I understand that you may dislike Top Gear, but this is not the place to voice your concerns over the show. While not as strict as in articles, Wikipedia's NPOV guideline does extend to the talk pages, as well. For further information please read WP:TPG. Thanks. - Blah3 05:05, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning removal

[edit]

Hello! You've removed a recently added user warning template from your user or user talk page. This tends to give the impression that you didn't read it. User warning templates contain valuable information and although you may disagree, it's best if you consider them. Thank you. --Madchester 13:00, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have removed several user warning templates from your user or user talk page. This is a bad idea. These warnings are not put on your talk page to annoy you; they are put here because other editors think that your behavior needs improvement, and we're giving you the courtesy of letting you know. Please respond by changing your behavior, and please stop removing the warnings. Thank you. --Madchester 18:55, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to remove legitimate warning messages from your talk page, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Madchester 17:26, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody even looks at this page. I'm nobody. Not on the system any long time at all ... I could easily create some new ID with almost nothing to loose. You're just some poor jerk with too much free time on your hands. Block me, I couldn't care less. You may win the battle, but you're obviously losing the war... if something as trivial as this, some 2 month old ID, is enough to warrant your time.

Just block me forever. Right now. Go ahead, do it. I couldn't care less ... in fact, it's what I want you to do.

Block

I've been looking, in the long-tun, you can block this ID. But, as near as I can see, an IP block will always be limited to the short run. So, unless I am mistaken, we could be here for years.

I still don't see why it matters to you. Outside of this page I am touching nothing on the system. And I've obviously read your comments. It almost seems like some sort of "power / control" issue on your side.

Maybe you can go to higher authorities in the system, but as it is just one crummy user page, I'd suspect they too would wonder why you care.

I haven't touched anything else in the system in weeks. The "Top Gear" and Jermemy Clarkson stuff was stuff I cared about, but outside of that, I am not doing anything on the system.

Bottom line, unless you know something I don't, and your administrative powers are greater than I realize, you should consider whether this one user page will merit a great deal of effort during the next few YEARS. Maybe I'll take a break for a month or two here and there, but other than that, long-term, I may not ever be allowing you to keep your comments on this one "talk" page for David877. So this could be the start of a long-term issue between us.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by David877 (talkcontribs).

Warning removal

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to remove legitimate warning messages from your talk page, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

It seems to me that you are acting in an uncivil manner. Please remain civil and don't resort to making personal attacks or instigating edit wars.

You can only archive comments from your talk page, not remove them completely. Nor are you allowed to edit non-vandalism messages from other users without their consent, per Help:Talk_page#Etiquette. (Your recent talk page blanking remains a permanent record on your edit history) Wikipedia talk pages are meant to be a record of communication with other users. Further incivility and removal of user comments/warnings without their consent will result in further blocks, or possibly an indefinite username/ID block. Editors do not "own" their personal user and user talk pages, and are not free to do whatever they want on them; please review Wikipedia's guidelines to see the limitations of usage. --Madchester 15:38, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fine ... we'll be here at this stupid game until you can stop me.

August ... 2009, if you want.

You don't care about Wikipedia. You're just a bully, looking for trouble.

If you cared about Wikipedia ... you'd be making better use of your time here.

This is a pointless discussion over a non-issue. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by David877 (talkcontribs).

It has become apparent that your account is only being used for vandalism, so it has been blocked indefinitely.
