Alessandro Montanari page
[edit]This is my initial attempt to create a WP page about Sandro and his achievements. It is far from perfect and would benefit from the expertise of others who know more than me.
Tasks(?):
- More detail about Sandro's geoscientific achievements
- I have probably overused quotations for such an article
- Sandro's publication list should probably be edited down to just a few key works
- A photograph of Coldigioco needs adding
- A new section on the International importance of the Umbria-Marche limestone geology in relation to geochronology and the major contributions Sandro has made.
Unfortunately I don't have the time, energy or expertise to progress this page further at least in the near future. I hope others will contribute or even do a complete rewrite - I am not precious about what I have written. I only wish to acknowledge the human being behind the science. Despite the flaws I hope this page has made a small contribution; "If a job's worth doing it's worth doing badly"! (G.K.
