C4 inhibitor[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to angioedema. I have been unable to confirm the existence of C4 inhibitor, and have therefore removed mention of this in the article. Please let me know if I have made a mistake. JFW | T@lk 22:45, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Again on the angioedema page, you created a section on "alternative treatments". Examining the content, however, suggests that these treatments are not used in practice, and their benefits are therefore only hypothetical. Unless you can demonstrate that these measures are actually used in HAE, I'm afraid that this content is unsuitable as per the content guideline no original research. Please consult the guideline before reinserting the content in question. JFW | T@lk 23:12, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Case reports[edit]

I noticed your addition of angioedema to the causes of ascites. Generally, case reports are very poor sources (see WP:MEDRS), and I was wondering if you could find a better source to attribute this observation. There are indeed numerous case reports about HAE causing ascites, but it would be much preferable to get a sense of proportion from a clinical review, a textbook or other aggregate source.
