Catherine's Feedback
[edit]The information across the "Function" and "Bacterial Conjugation" sections is redundant. You should consider combining this into one section. The edits I can currently see do not expand much on the the currently published Wikipedia article. If you are struggling to find ways to expand the article, I strongly encourage you to get in touch with Nils, Yulia, or me.
I look forward to reading the final version!

Nils' Comments
[edit]Bacterial conjugation is important for the spread of antibiotic resistance, so with oriT you arguably picked an important topic. There are some more recent papers that use the expression that you can collect and use as a basis for elaborating, e.g., https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/mbo3.1129
Hope this helps!

MLibrarian Feedback
[edit]It's good that you added the Figure to this article but please ensure it is of a good resolution in the final draft. A few other comments: 1) Please link concepts to preexisting Wiki articles, e.g., pilus
2) I am not sure if you plan to reuse the Lead of the original Wiki page or not but I this information is important to keep: "is a short sequence (up to 500 bp) that is necessary for transfer of the DNA...."
3) You may want to look into these sources to expand your article: a) https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/neuroscience/origin-of-transfer b) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC557491/ c) https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fmicb.2019.00457/full
4) Where you say "(oriT) is a short sequence" could you point to the source where one can read this sequence?
5) "at the nic site of the oriT," - is it possible to show where this site is located using the Figure? MLibrarian (talk) 18:57, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
Digital Pedagogy Librarian Feedback
[edit]I think you've already responded to some of the above feedback, so good job! I just want to echo some of what my colleague MLibrarian said. You could add more links to other Wikipedia articles that might help readers define related concepts. I also think you need to add annotations to the figure to help non-specialists understand the process. DrLibraryCat (talk) 19:50, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
