ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Scale of justice 2.svg Hello, Deagol2. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Multimedia templates[edit]

I notice that you reverted my edits at Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein and J. R. R. Tolkien. I have been working on multimedia templates for the WP:VA authors quite a bit over the years. In many cases there has been brushback to including them because they are viewed by some as a source of clutter. One compromise has been to cap these templates. I have incorporated this in all WP:VA author bio pages that have multiple such templates.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 14:35, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

I don't see how it is an improvement to hide two navboxes inside another when there are several other navboxes there as well. If you were collapsing them all into one then maybe, but this half-way measure seems to be neither one nor the other. At the end of the day, they are at the end of the article so are out of the way even if there is a list of half a dozen navboxes. Deagol2 (talk) 14:55, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
I'll be sure to call on you next time there is a debate about whether these templates cause undo clutter.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:53, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
