Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

Hello. Are you affiliated with thealternativestar.com? You have been adding a number of external links. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 17:02, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and thanks for your message. If you are affiliated with that site, I will point you to our conflict of interest guidelines and also Wikipedia:FAQ/Business. The suggestion is that you mention the links on the talk page of a particular article and then the editors of that article can decide if the link should be added. Yes it is true that articles about musicians sometimes have a large "External links" section, but often these sections get pruned at some point, because of the policy Wikipedia is not a mirror or a repository of links. Thanks, and feel free to ask if you have other questions. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 02:49, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
