As a divorced father of 4 children, I also agree that deadbeat parent or deadbeat dad or deadbeat mom are all improper terms to use when dealing with this National epidemic.
The proper terminology for those who do no pay to support the children they brought into this world, whether it be caused by poverty, lack of compassion or ANY other reason is DIRTY, ROTTEN, UNCARRING BASTARDS.
There is NO excuse for not supporting YOUR children, not poverty, not "that B&^%h will spend the money on herself, not "I never get to see my kid" so what, I didn't GET to see my oldest for 14 years, but when I found her her mother still got all the child support due her.
IT IS THEIR CHILD, IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO SUPPORT THEM.Dennismac999 (talk) 03:25, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
