Wikiproject Texas
I don't know if anybody ever gave you any feedback but thanks for joining Wikiproject Texas.
If you are looking for things to do ...
- Simple stuff
- Look at the list of list of articles that has not had importance assessed and the list that has not had quality assessed. On the talk page for each article you should find {{WikiProject Texas}}. Feel free to add "|importance=" and/or "|class=" as you see fit. Some quick guidelines:
- On importance, you should generally never assign "Top" unless you have discussed it with other editors. Assign "High" if it is really one of the absolute most important things about Texas. Assign "Mid" if it is one of the absolute most important things to somebody considered with a specific sub-category (e.g. one of the most important things about history). Assign "Low" to everything else.
- On class, you are not allowed to assign anything higher than "B" without going through a formal process. If it just one paragraph, assign "Stub". If it is at least several paragraphs but few inline citations, assign "Start". If it is a pretty complete article and has citations on most or all of the paragraphs, you can assign "C". If you think it is higher quality than that look at the B criteria and decide if it makes the grade.
- Take a look at the lists of top priority and high priority articles. Pick some that are at Start or C class and look for whole paragraphs that are missing references (i.e. the citation numbers). Search Google (preferably [books.google.com Google Books] or similar) for references. If you can't find evidence to back up the statements then tag end of the paragraph (or end of a specific sentence) with either {{fact}} (if you think the statements are probably accurate), or {{dubious}} (if the statements sound fishy). If the statements are unreferenced and ridiculous, just remove them.
- Look at the list of list of articles that has not had importance assessed and the list that has not had quality assessed. On the talk page for each article you should find {{WikiProject Texas}}. Feel free to add "|importance=" and/or "|class=" as you see fit. Some quick guidelines:

- If you want to work on expanding some articles that are pretty incomplete, here are a few important ones. Please, though, make sure you base your edits on good references ([books.google.com Google Books] is an excellent way to find information in reliable sources).

Thanks for the tip, but my MacBook's Alt keys don't play the same as Microsoft Alt keys (Alt 1 gives '¡', for example). Unicode characters are platform-neutral. Thanks anyway, Tonywalton Talk 22:57, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
