History of Vilnius

[edit]

Labas. If you have some time, I'd like to invite you to take a look at User:Wojsyl/History_of_Vilnius page. This is a copy of the history section of the protected Vilnius page. I hope we could discuss its content there at User_talk:Wojsyl/History_of_Vilnius in order to have more NPOV article. I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, but just for completeness: first discuss, then edit. Wojsyl 18:36, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

BTW, have you noticed that you've accidentally created talk pages to two inexisting articles: Talk:Ringaudas and [[Talk:Antitutei%9Aas]] ? Wojsyl 21:20, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Yes, this is "our" miltiple-personality guy signing with all the different fictious names, apparently trying to make impression, that he has a wider support of other users. I've marked these two pages for speedy deletion, but would'n do it before, as I don't know Lithuanian and didn't know what you wrote there. Wojsyl 07:44, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
PS. Do you know what does "tuteišas" mean ? He keeps on asking me if I'm "tuteišas", appartenly this is supposed to be something offensive.
I guess it's simply lithuanisation of a Polish term "tutejszy", meaning "man from here". However, it might have a different meaning in Lithuanian. Halibutt 16:14, Apr 12, 2005 (UTC)

Things have currently improved on Talk:Vilnius Could you give your comments ? Refdoc 16:45, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Is it indeed true that word "Vilnian" is considered offensive in Lithuania ??? Wojsyl 20:58, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Ober Ost and Lithuania

[edit]

Hi there! At Talk:Vilnius government precinct we reached a stalemate, since neither User:DeirYassin nor me knowledgeable enough to finish the article or even decide on which name to use. Could you help us with the administrative division of the Ober Ost and with actual data about the level of self-government there (if any prior to February of 1918)? Halibutt 13:00, Jun 10, 2005 (UTC)
