Infobox highlights[edit]

You my not be aware, but there is a standard format that most NBA bios follow for infobox highlights at Wikipedia:WikiProject_National_Basketball_Association/Article_guidelines#Infobox_highlights. If you would like to form a new consensus, feel free to discuss at WT:NBA. Cheers.—Bagumba (talk) 07:18, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 11[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Eric Harland, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chris Potter (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Capitals for instruments on album pages[edit]

You've changed the personnel listings on some albums so that their instruments are capitalized. Unfortunately, this is contrary to the album style guide: it's best to try to standardize to this. EddieHugh (talk) 15:36, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

Then I think the guide should be changed. Pages look better with instruments capitalized.
since I'm here and saw this, I completely disagree. Names capitalized, instruments not. This is standard pretty much everywhere. Unless an album is a title of a name: (i.e. Fender rhodes, English horn) there is no need to capitalize it. Tjcam (talk) 21:02, 24 August 2014 (UTC)

Are you close with Walter Smith III ?[edit]

You have been relentlessly placing Walter's upcoming release on his page for some time and in the history you have put 'my source is Walter Smith III'. Do you know him personally? Are you his publicist or something? If so, you should not edit his page. Until the album comes out, leave it off unless you can independently verify its existence, but even then, what point is there in putting things on WIKI that don't even exist yet? Wait until the album is out and then put it up. Very simple. If you put it up again in this way I will mark the article as COI and will place it on the COI board as it will be clear you have an agenda in trying to get this album on his page before the release date. There is no need for it to be up there until it's out. Tjcam (talk) 20:59, 24 August 2014 (UTC)

Divergence, you dont' understand WIKI, it's clear. Go ahead and put up a commercial spam link to amazon for his album and see what comes out of it. Leave it off until it's released already. WIKI is a not a list of everything 'upcoming' under the sun! One more time before it's released and I mark the page COI and report it. Tjcam (talk) 12:25, 30 August 2014 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Curry[edit]

I looked at your edit for several minutes thank you very much and I reverted because I genuinely thought it was not an improvement. It was not my intention to sound like a WP:DICK, quite the opposite actually. See, I expected you to revert so I tried to not make it sound like I thought you were a vandal in an attempt to not have you revert solely because you thought I was being a WP:DICK. Now because I've come here, you'll likely think I am a WP:DICK. Anyway, Curry is discussed as a great shooter in general. A lot of the time, an analyst discussing this will say how he can shoot from anywhere. I thought the wording modifications were unnecessary because it sounded great before. Mentioning the family, Dell in particular, in the lead is worth doing because they are notable; Seth and Dell have their own articles. Lastly, the amount of three-pointers he hit to break his own record is important and should be mentioned. I'm not going to start an idiotic war over it because that's stupid and there's enough crap around here. So pretty much I came here to tell you that there's no need to tell others what you thought of a certain person's tone or assume that they were acting in bad faith. Civility and all that. All the best. —DangerousJXD (talk) 04:03, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

3pt shooter is more accurate - there are better 2pt floor shooters than Curry. His family, while notable, still does not need to be in the first paragraph of the intro. Why is including the specific # of 3pters made critical for the intro? Again, look carefully at my edits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Divergence5 (talkcontribs) 05:25, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
Remember to sign your talk page posts by placing four tildes at the end (like this: ~~~~). I'm not trying to start an argument over it as I don't really care what it says. I was just giving you my thoughts on why I reverted you because it seemed like you thought my revert was in bad faith. As I said, I looked at your edit for several minutes. Mentioning the total threes is important because it never actually says how many he hit. It's like saying a player has a record for most points in a quarter but then not saying how many points they actually scored. I already addressed everything else here and I have nothing more to add. —DangerousJXD (talk) 05:38, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
You seem to not understand what I actually changed. I never said Curry isn't one of the best three-point shooters. I never removed that and nobody is debating that. Extra sources are not necessary because that has nothing to do with my initial revert and Curry is indeed considered one of the best three-point shooters. Just forget about it. —DangerousJXD (talk) 05:41, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

Signature[edit]

As a gentle reminder, you should sign your talk page posts using four tildes (~~~~) (see WP:SIGNATURES) Let me know if you are having issues. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 04:51, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

January 2016[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Stephen Curry. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
I kindly ask that you consider self-reverting and getting consensus for your preferred wording of "greatest three-point shooter" at Talk:Stephen_Curry#Greatest_3-pt_shooter_or_just_greatest_shooter.3F.Bagumba (talk) 01:40, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
