NOTE[edit]

Post what you like and say what you want; I tend to be extremely unrepentant and will strike back if cornered. I have extreme disdain for certain individuals but won't discuss it here for reasons they know.

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Melinda Hill[edit]

I've completed your nomination, and placed it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Melinda Hill. I used your rationale from your post at WP:AFD, but it might not hold up on its own - we don't usually delete good content because socks latch on to it, we boot the socks and clean up. Feel free to add and expand your reasoning at the debate - and please let me know if you have questions. Thanks. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 22:20, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

Cast in Bronze[edit]

Sorry, I was gone for a few days. Looking at the article, you proposed that it be deleted. And that's fine - if no one objects, it'll be deleted automatically. If someone does object, then you can nominate it at afd. Tag the article with {{subst:afd1}}, then no to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cast in Bronze and post this: {{subst:afd2|pg=Cast in Bronze|cat=M|text=Page has held a notability alert for over 2 years with no substantive edits or improvements. Page contains unsourced promotion-like material and anecdotes about the subject. Subject fails notability guidelines. ~~~~}}. That'll format the page. There are instructions over at WP:AFDHOWTO if you get turned around. Let me know if I can help out. Best, UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 15:45, 30 November 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Melinda Hill II[edit]

Hi there Dkendr,

Sorry about the noise from ANI and AFD just now. I came across your nomination of Melinda Hill at redirects for discussion and noticed it was out of process since you moved the page to an invalid location. For one thing, before you do anything you do need to wait for an administrator to review the conversation at AfD and determine what the proper result is. Likely they will then act on it, move the page if necessary and let everyone know what happened. Moving the page prematurely breaks the discussion.

Also, when we "userfy" a page, we move it to a subpage of a registered user's page, not to a top-level page in the User: space because these are reserved for registered user accounts - the move you made makes it look like there is a user named "Melinda Hill". Instead we normally move the page to a title such as User:Dkendr/Melinda Hill, then the page is said to be in your userspace, although everyone is still welcome to edit that page. More recently we've used Draft: space for this, so the page might be moved to Draft:Melinda Hill instead.

But in any case, you should wait for the deletion discussion to finish first. If you think that it's taking too long you can post a request at requests for closure to draw attention to the discussion.

Thanks, and if you need any help with this, it's fine to ask. Cheers.

Also I'm required to put this notice here:
Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.
But don't worry too much about it. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 21:05, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

WikiProject[edit]

I see you are a Saints fan and I'd like to know if you would support my proposal for a Saints WikiProject? I want to clean up all Saints articles but I can't do it by myself and would love your help. Leggomygreggo8 (talk) 18:23, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

Ok! Just know if you ever change your mind we'd love to have you, even if you'd don't edit much. Leggomygreggo8 (talk) 16:53, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:People with chemical elements named for them[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Category:People with chemical elements named for them, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Plot size[edit]

At Don't Breathe you greatly increased the plot size. Wikipedia's guideline recommends against going over 700 words. See WP:FILMPLOT. That is why I rolled back the plot section to an earlier version, erasing your contribution in the process. Binksternet (talk) 00:31, 11 September 2016 (UTC)

December 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Bojo1498. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on John McAfee, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! bojo1498 talk 21:39, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

My edits[edit]

I have removed the section you added to my talk page as it showed as anonymous (I found out the origin later from the history) and because I think (hope!) this is a case of mistaken identity? The small edit I made to the Star Trek movie page was constructive (and incidentally hasn't been reverted) and is also now the subject of a wider discussion I started on MOS: film. I see you removed the threat of reversion that had been added onto that page, but it was never my edit to begin with, and I am not sure why you thought it was? I am guessing that it is another user's page on which you should have posted the warning? IanB2 (talk) 15:07, 9 December 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the apology. Reasonably experienced editors like you and me should double check before accusing each other of such bad things! Good luck with your future edits. IanB2 (talk) 17:30, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
