the headquarters for the National Association of Realtors The National Association of Realtors Building 500 New Jersey Ave., NW 2004 Gund Partnership design architects, architects of record SMB Architects The building is the first building in the District of Columbia to have been constructed in conformance with, and earn certification under the LEED New Construction Rating System. Building design features that contributed to certification included high efficiency ventilation systems, curtain wall construction that reduces thermal transfer, and a substantial use of recycled materials throughout the building. Preparation of the building site, a former gas station, also required environmental mitigation. Located on a triangular city block, the building, sheathed in bluish-green glazing, appears as a sliver when viewed from the north. A photo that includes the building along with a view of the U.S. Capitol appears on the cover of the Fourth Edition of the AIA Guide to the Architecture of Washington, D.C. [1]

Located on a block bounded by D and E and 7th and 8th Streets in NW, Washington D.C. and originally constructed at the turn of the twentieth century, the group of buildings now known as the Lansburgh complex underwent renovations and additions designed by Graham Gund Architects in 1991.
