Hello and thanks for the welcome. Yes, I will take a look at the WP:WikiProject Neuroscience, thanks for pointing that out for me.
I have to disagree that Nutritional neuroscience fits better under developmental neuroscience in the outline. While the page as it exists now has a paragraph describing developmental issues, the rest of the page does not support that position and, in fact, cites examples of nutrition as it relates to mental health or cognition. In my opinion, nutritional neuroscience involves the interaction of the molecules (nutrients) in the diet that influence the nervous system in some positive or negative way, and this happens, as the pages states "throughout life". For example: while maternal iron deficiency can have profound and lasting ill effects on the subsequent life of the child (development); there are many aspects of nutrition such as fish oil's effects on depression, or effects of iron deficiency on drug addiction-like behavior (not development). It is both a molecular and a behavioral study, but fits best, I think, under "molecular" on that outline.
Additionally, I spotted a page on nutrition and cognition and think that this is redundant to, or a subset of, the page Nutritional neuroscience. Your thoughts?

About the outline page, I don't really care very much, so if you want to, please feel free to revert me. About Nutrition and cognition, I don't really follow either page (but I can start if you want me to), but I would tend to agree that it would be a good idea to merge it into Nutritional neuroscience. (I also kind of wonder whether it might be better to name the page Nutrition and the nervous system, because "nutritional neuroscience" strikes me as something of a neologism, not a widely-cited field of neurosience.) If you feel like taking on a page merge, Help:Merging describes step-by-step how to do it. Let me know if you'd like me to help or to take part in the discussion. --Tryptofish (talk) 20:03, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
