Hello! I've noticed you've added similar content to the article on Katya Jones and other dancers from Strictly. It appears to me that you may have some connection with the event you are adding, which I believe may come under the umbrellas of WP:COI and WP:NOTPROMO. I would recommend reading those policies. Please let me know if you would like to discuss further. Knope7 (talk) 02:17, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Morning. Yes, we know the professional dancers from Strictly on a personal basis, many are good friends. I mentioned to them last week that I would be happy to add details of some of their UK tours onto their page as the general public are extremely interested in the Strictly pro's and in particular how they can get to see or meet them - many don't realise they have their own tours or attend events.

I have kept the entries to a minimum and as factually informative as possible, if you would prefer the section was removed I'm happy to go in and remove the entries.

I think the problem is that you are trying to promote the pros and that comes across. Some tours are significant where as others may not be. The events should be written about by secondary sources and significant to the pros life. I don’t think every event they work at fits the relevant criteria. I would also recommend disclosing your conflict on the pages you are editing. I admit I am not an expect on Wikipedia conflicts of interest though. Knope7 (talk) 12:55, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:24, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your appeal is that you want to continue advertising the dancers' tours, the behavior that led to your block? Really? Cabayi (talk) 11:32, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
