To User: Hu12

First I want to apologize if I inadvertently Broke Wiki-Law. I am new at this and I am unfamiliar with how to add content or links to organizations albeit ones that I am associated with.

As these organizations are new here in the U.S we have over 80 years of experience backing us from the 84 samba schools and their social projects in Brazil. I can't apologize enough for doing something I thought was acceptable policy. Please help me to learn how to contribute to all the articles I am very familiar with. I spent 14 years in the military and I have traveled to many desolate, isolated places in the world and I have seen first hand what poverty is and does to society. I have seen children in prostitution at very young ages to help support their families. What sickens me the most is the the men and women that contribute to these conditions are none other than the men and women from the rich countries around the world. My wife and I were in Rio (she is Brazilian) in 2002 and our daughter became very sick and we had to take her to the hospital at 3 a.m. to see the doctor. We were their with about 100 other parents and adults to see the Dr. Just in front of us was a young mother and her husband with their 6 month old daughter. The child had a high fever but I was unable to do anything myself because I am not a doctor but I new that the baby's fever was more than 106 degrees. After waiting until almost noon they got in to see the Dr. But it was to late the baby had died in her mothers arms during the morning.

Our organization is in its infancy and is now forming events in Miami and Fort Lauderdale to bring us to the for front. I have seen millions of dollars spent studying the issues of poverty and very little actually being done about it. We will eventually be recognized for what we are doing around the world. I must add that during our short moment on Wikipedia we received over $8,000.00 in donations and because I am the V.P. of our organization we had planned to donate 10% of all donations we received from donors coming from wikipedia back to Wikipedia at the end of every month. But I guess now that won't happen because I have been blocked under AmerinRio and I am now being considered to be blocked under Donald 918. It is my hope and dream that some day Wikipedia will help us do the same as SOS Children and provide the tools to educate the children, we need to do the same thing in Brazil and the rest of the world.

Our organization is in the process of building our first cultural center in Rio de Janeiro and we are in the process of many other projects involving education, health, microfinance. If you must block me for trying to raise the funds we need to continue our work in Brazil, the USA and the rest of the world then so be it. Articles will be written about what we stand for; which is simple, Global Poverty Minimization $1 dollar from 1 person for 1 one cause for 1 human life 1 day at a time. That is all only $365 per year from every able bodied working person in the countries (Industrialized Nations) that have people able to donate and we will minimize poverty to almost extention. Poverty can not be eradicated as some wish because of dictators and tyrants that are greedy.

Again I wish to apologize for putting a link to our website under organizations and campaigns at the top no less.(Sorry I just read some of the rules on spamming which I was unaware of) and again under External links, and under street children (my passion to see them advance and become the movers and shakers of the world.)

Thanks again for allowing me to express my opinion whether right or wrong. All I know is that millions of children and adults are counting on our organization to succeed. We are not out to profit from anything all we want is to give hope where there is none or at least very little. My wife is in Brazil now setting up a program for a mobile blood bank to provide blood for the hospitals. I hope we can find the funding from somewhere.

Thanks again for everyone that has clicked on the link I place on Wikipedia. Thanks Hu12 for being so vigilant and letting me know that I was out of line. I suspect this is not right do here either but I don't know where else to write as there is no email address to send this to.

Although we not rich and famous in the eyes of the world we are to those who know us in and around Brazil famous in their eyes because we bring them hope of a brighter future. These are people that do not have acess to the outside world as we know it. The children's eyes are the most fasinating to me, they are so full of energy and life their eyes so beautiful and happy. I wish I was more eloquent to describe what I see in their eyes. But it something that you have to see for yourself. When my wife and I visit these areas the kids come running to see us and ask us more questions than we have time to answer.

Poverty is a crisis, actually more like a disease that is creeping up on society and eating away at its very fibre. 16 million people die from the affects of poverty every year. out the entire World's population it isn't much but when you put it into perspective, real perspective that is at least 4 major U.S cities., Miami, Los Angels, New York, and Chicago. Gone in a year, no one at home, ghost towns.

Sincerely, Donald 918

I was just wondering how an organization gets recognized or mentioned in WikiPedia articles? Or adding external links or Organizations and Campaigns. I was not aware of the rules and nobody bothered to inform me that WikiPedia had rules and regulations that pertained to editing pages. When I created a user name I didn't know that it had to be something other than the company or organization you represent. I apologize for inadvertently stepping out of bounds. But I think that everyone that is an administrator or other should use a little diplomacy and inform someone that they are out of bounds when editing. I do not beleive that undoing someones edit without explaining the reason is totally unjust. I would have gladly followed procedures had I known about them. It would appear to an outsider that Wikipedians that keep a vigilant eye on WikiPedia could be bought. I am not saying that anyone at WikiPedia would do that but for an outsider it seems kind of peculiar that someone puts an external link to a web page that might be of interest to the general public and then all of a sudden it is undone without any explantion why. Yet at the same time organizations remain with links to their websites. It makes me wonder why and who placed the link there. Help me and other newbys understand why their edits are being undone. Please don't consider it a star under your belt for undoing an edit. I am not concerned with what goes on here at WikiPedia but I am concerned with the millions of people that die every day from the causes of poverty, whether it is HIV/AIDS, starvation, lack of medical facilities, or what ever the cause is that leads someone to die in poverty. I have seen men, women and children die becasue of this epidemic. I have seen millions of dollars spent doing studies and research, but what I don't see is anyone doing anything about it. Oh I see the media doing their thing to boost their ratings and movie stars doing the same. Again what I don't see is anyone doing anything about it. I see a lot of talk but very little action. Our organization will be in the news and we will make a difference. We have no boundaries at Global Poverty Minimization'. People are dying everyday and all we ask is that we are mentioned somewhere in WikiPedia someday. When I travel to other countries and I meet the people I am truly amazed at the hope that I see in their eyes. Again I apologize for not knowing the rules here, but I really don't have time to sit down and learn the ropes and this is probably the last thing I will ever contribute at WikiPedia unless someone wishes to ask me, How we plan to minimize poverty? Or Why can't poverty be eradicated? Eradicate poverty, or End poverty forever are only pipe dreams and people have not done any real homework on the subject. Ask me how to minimize poverty and I will tell you. Developing countries account for 90 percent of the world’s disease burden (Gottret and Schieber, 2006). Roughly, 16 million deaths in 1998 were directly attributable to communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and maternal and prenatal conditions, childhood infections, tobacco-related illnesses and nutritional deficiencies (WHO, 2006). Let's put that into real perspective here. ''That is the total population of at least 4 major US cities.'''''Imagine the headlines Miami, Los Angels, New York and Chicago Ghost Towns becasue of Poverty or the effects of Poverty. donald918—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Donald 918 (talkcontribs).

I want to learn the ropes here if it isn't to late.Donald 918 00:38, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's never too late. You can find support here, including access to policies, a tutorial, and many guides for new users. You may also be interested in adoption, where an experienced user mentors a newer one in the art of editing Wikipedia. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need anything.

Have a nice day.

I confirm what The Rhymesmith said. A great place to start is by clicking the "Help" link at the left of your screen. You can also ask for an editor review. Shalom Hello 02:46, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly do you mean by help? I can advise you on Wikipedia's policy and show you how to contribute effectively. There isn't really a set of protocols relating to dealing with specific articles. If you want guiding through being a new user, just drop a note on my talk page (it's easier to communicate through there, as opposed to my user page). I'd be happy to help.
