Enrique and the first circumnavigation

[edit]

Hi, I hope you don't mind but I'd prefer to communicate on Wikipedia rather than through e-mail. I definitely don't doubt that there are reliable sources that say that Enrique was the first circumnavigator, but it's important that if we make that claim in the Magellan expedition article, we have an accompanying citation right there. (It's not enough that a citation exists somewhere else, such as at the Enrique of Malacca article, since readers should be able to verify the claim from wherever they come across it.) If you want to re-add the claim to the expedition article, just make sure you include a citation - if you want to reuse the one from the Enrique article, that's fine, you can just copy-paste the <ref> (assuming you're using the wikitext editor rather than the visual editor). If you need help, let me know. Happy editing! Colin M (talk) 14:54, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. You are right, like i said, i prefer to leave it as is, because after giving it another thought, the claim that Enrique did it first is also a hypothesis and has no solid proof. After all, he disappeared at some point and no one knows if he reached his homeland actually. But the rest company surely did not finish the job.., yet at that point. But since i don’t know what is in that citation and how it supports what is written in that statement, i prefer not change anything. Dost17 (talk) 15:27, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
