I would appreciate if you could read Jeremy books 37 and 38, just to focus on what "CITY" the Bible is talking about? Is it the City of Judah or the Jerusalem? I see the text as saying that Jerusalem's fall happened after the City fell to the enemy. It is about the city of Judah. Jerusalem was not a city. Jerusalem was the pride of Arabia and was the combination of two regions: Hayar & Shulaym, a fertile region that was located on the road linking Judah to Babylon.
