The UBS Bloomberg Constant Maturity Commodity Index (aka CMCI) is a Commodity Curve Index.

Like the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index (S&P GSCI) or the Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index (DJAIGCI), it aims to represent the returns afforded by commodities as an asset class.

Like the other indices listed in the article "commodity price index" and to mark the contribution it made in commodity index investment, it deserves an entry in Wikipedia in the form of a full encyclopedic article.

It is best known for its unique calculation engine and its exposure to the entire forward curve, and not just front contracts (A full description of technical characteristics of the index can be found on the website www.ubs.com\cmci).
