Enterprise Content Management for African newsrooms... A very disturbing issue when it comes to most African newsrooms. Yet time is catching up as media houses are bracing themselves for convergence. So soon we might have to deal with a new market of media houses that need enterprise content management solutions.
The media houses want to go online and yet some of them find it not profitable. But new discoveries have been made that actually many of those that have persisted publishing on line as well are not reaping.
So what exactly is lacking: Perhaps trained staff if not little knowledge of the available solutions both for profitability and sustainability.
Content management systems can easily be integrated in the daily schedule of work or rather the work-flow of news organizations.
