[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Tri-tip. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Tri-tip. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Logical Cowboy (talk) 01:52, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Tri-tip, you may be blocked from editing. Logical Cowboy (talk) 02:04, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Tri-tip. WAYNEOLAJUWON 02:12, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
how am I doing anything wrong, I removed any id, name or website from my edit. I don't see why talking about San Diego is of any issue, sorry.
What is the issue here
[edit]I am adding a new culinary trend in San Diego, As a chief of American Cuisine and I live in SD I am adding what I see as relevant. By the way I removed all name and links I gave as examples. Sorry if you donb't like what I added.
- First what you were adding was basically an ad for one company. Now what you are adding is unsourced material, basically your own independent research. You need a reliable 3rd party source for information that you add to Wikipedia. See the other references in the article for examples. Logical Cowboy (talk) 02:24, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
Cowboy- that's why I added the link in the first place not to promote these guys but to show example of this lower end meat being served at weddings and corp events as a high-end item. Thanks for you your feedback I will be much more involved now that I understand and I will re add the link to support my statement. Good looking out. East
- No, that does not work either, you can't just link to a commercial website and call that a reliable source. It's an advertisement. You need a reliable 3rd party source for information that you add to Wikipedia. See the other references in the article for examples. Logical Cowboy (talk) 02:55, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
