Question: Allowed to upload&publicize logo of a former company?

[edit]

Hello!

I have a photo (jpg) with the logo of the former Californian company Tymshare. I extracted it from an old brochure. The logo consists of an hourglass, the string "TYMSHARE", and the "R" within a circle.

As the "R" is included, can I just upload the photo and include it into Wikipedia's "Tymshare" article? Or is it still necessary to get some kind of official permission to do so?

In the latter case, I would give up, as [according to Wikipedia] the "rights to use technology [and I guess: the logo, too] developed by Tymshare are currently held by Boeing, British Telecom (BT), Verizon Communications, and AT&T Inc. due to the acquisitions and mergers from 1984 through 2005."

Thanks in advance for your advice.
