Maurice Deloraine
[edit]Hi EdC. I hope I'm writing to the right person here, I'm going on edit history for the article Maurice Deloraine here and on the French wiki.
I'm trying to find sources for the claim that Maurice Deloraine worked on huff-duff. I do believe he worked on radio direction finding, but it is not clear that he worked on the specific type of RDF known as huff-duff. Specifically, huff-duff used an oscilloscope and an adcock antenna, whereas the brief mentions I can see of the ITT work mentions motors and displays. This suggests, strongly, that ITTs work was more similar to the electromechanical displays used in fish-finders and similar devices.
Do you have any further information on their work that might clear this up?
