Re: Replaceable fair use File:DevendraFadnavis.jpg - D'pak HKadam

As suggested by you, I have edited the Summary section on the (DevendraFadnavis.jpg) image's information page which includes a reason for the non-replaceability of the file. Also I have added a criteria for any commercial use of the file. I have also added a new source for the image a legitimate owner as claimed by the source. The file's talk page, as given by you, is dead i.e it does not exist. Any further instructions? D'pak HKadam (talk) 03:51, 2 November 2014 (IST)

Your reasoning isn't good; he's alive and a picture can be taken. Eeekster (talk) 22:22, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

But the same exact image can't be taken, can it? D'pak HKadam (talk) 03:55, 2 November 2014 (IST)

How is that relevant to the fair use policy? Fair use is about taking someone's work without paying them; that means you have to meet the requirements or it's actionable in court. Eeekster (talk) 22:32, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

The source says that the content on the website is reproducible with proper permission from the authorities taken through email. So, If I get their permission, will it be sufficient to claim the file under fair use? D'pak HKadam (talk) 04:07, 2 November 2014 (IST)

Hello Eeekster, I am not sure who you are or what you are saying. The photograph I uploaded of my grandfather, Mason Vaugh, on his Wiki page came to me from my mother. It is a family photograph. No one originally owned the copyright. I cannot make heads or tails of the very confusing directions on the various Wikipedia pages on copyright and photographs. You will have to send me much clearer directions. This is a personal photograph. Period. India Cate — Preceding unsigned comment added by IndiaCate (talkcontribs) 13:40, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

Hello! Ok - i send a letter to Thomas about the copyright, awayting response... Fine! Thomas grant free usage! I already forward his reply to permissions-en@wikimedia.org

Tommy Johnagin image : User: Gigglechick (talk) 03:24, 9 November 2014 (UTC)gigglechick

Hey there. I'm trying to contest the "speedy deletion" --- I uploaded Tommy Johnagin's image to his page

I am his web designer - GigglechickInteractive.com --- All of his images are Copyrighted through TommyJComedy.com

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:TommyJohnagin_headshot1a.jpg&action=edit&redlink=1

Please allow me to re-upload that image to his page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Johnagin

Thank you

Hello Eeekster, thank you for your advice, the picture was given to me from a privet person I didn't take it from a website so, how should I do, how should I call this file?can I upload it in someways? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Krokamaora/sandbox Thank you in advance Krokamaora (talk) 20:24, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

The person that gave you the image will have to provide some evidence of license. Eeekster (talk) 20:25, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Ok, but how and where should he provide it? do I have to provide for his e-mail address? Thank you for your help! Krokamaora (talk) 05:04, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

The above mentioned image is fully licensed. It is free to be shared, used, edited and distributed. I have the image. The photographer of the image gave it to me. Now I have control over it. I have his permission for use. I have contacted him. The image is free to use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deadly437 (talkcontribs) 03:03, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

Fairview Parlor.jpg

Hi. Got your message, and have no idea why the upload didn't work. It is my photo, and I said that in the Wizard...however, I learned my lesson. I am new and inexperienced here, and when it says the upload to Commons is "Recommended," I see now it means it. I went there, and uploaded the photo there along with a few others...all are now in my article and look great. Would you please delete the page and everything else re. the upload of "Fairview Parlor" in Wikipedia proper. Thanks, Blueridge12 (talk) 04:21, 10 November 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blueridge12 (talkcontribs) 04:14, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
