Ashleigh's Peer Review

[edit]

Hi Emmie!

So far so good! I think your topic is really interesting, and I think your additions will be great to the Swedish Cuisine wiki page. It seems like you are off to a great start. The content you currently have looks really great. The only suggestions I have are focused on your sources and citations. I see you indicated where citations are needed in the text, which is great. As you probably know already, integrating wikipedia's resource footnotes in your text, rather than citing with the name of the author, text, or webiste in parentheses at the end of the sentence, is an important future step. Also, some additional resources to fill in the missing citations and add more content to your piece is another important next step (as I'm sure you already know).

Also, just a grammatical suggestion (in bold) in the second to last sentence of the intro paragraph: "Fish is a product that historically has been important in Swedish cuisine, not least (do you mean "in the very least" or "at the very least" or "at least"?) in its preserved form."

Overall, you have a great topic and I am interested to see where you take it! I think the only problem you may run into is having too much information about these topics to work with given the amount of time we have to complete the project. I would suggest focusing on the most important aspects around each fermentation process, which seems to be how you have outlined it already (especially with fermenting herring), which is great!
