Hello, I am currently researching material for a book about my great grandfather, and have been pulling up your pages as a valuable resource. He was a blackface minstrel actor in the early 1900s, and at one time I even had the troop name that he traveled with. To date, I have yet to find much information at all on blackface actors - but am hoping I can piece together what I can. In one article, you have added a photo of the Belvidere Players of Ohio, 1910. Is there a name list included anywhere with that photo? I know what my greatgrandfather looked like, but obviously he could very well have been one of the black face characters on the ends. His name was Jesse Lorenzo Clay. He was in a show that traveled to DC and in and around the south. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
