Andre J. Kristopans Data[edit]

Eric Erie the reason I cite A J Kristopans as a source for my edits is because he used primary source documents to compile his data. And the reason that Don Strack is hosting Mr.Kristopans data is because it is the most correct on the web. See http://www.utahrails.net/ajkristopans/ajkristopans-index.php and then go through the linked pages. Both Kristopans and Strack are well respected diesel historians and researchers. Have you ever heard of LocoNotes, that group was started by Don Strack. Your NP #100 was traded in on a new unit that used some parts for the old unit, it was not rebuilt. Thanks for the updates[edit]

Gracias for the updating of the PNWR roster, seems like you know your stuff. Most of the info that I have "reassembled" were from every roster I could find. But anyways, thanks for keeping it true and up to date. There were some info that didn't seem to make sense (like PNWR 1201 to RLIX 1202-1204), so I wasn't sure how this info would sound to a reader so I made some corrections. I'm going to probably do some more formatting experiments with this in sandbox and see how it looks, and I might add another column for the loco's history as well (although doing research for each of the locomotives' history may be a little harder). --Mr. DM (talk) 07:02, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 25[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited EMD RS1325, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SW9 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

BN 5701[edit]

This particular BN U33C was wrecked in May 1971 and retired in September 1971. --SSW9389 (talk) 21:27, 1 July 2018 (UTC) Great Northern 2531 was built in May 1968 as GE serial #36777. It was renumbered to BN 5701. The BN merger was March 2, 1970. This unit existed on BN for about 14 months. The unit was wrecked in May 1971 according to the U33C article in Diesel Era. This U33C was Scrapped by BN in September 1971. The 1973 roster you are citing shows the number 5701 blank because it was removed from the roster in 1971. --SSW9389 (talk) 22:57, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Amazingly there is a tribute page to this unit with wreck photos. The wreck happened on March 28, 1971. http://pnwr.qstation.org/BNTribute/GN/U33C/BN_5701.html --SSW9389 (talk) 23:04, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
